Criteria for Public Registers

The GFXC supports market-led mechanisms that raise awareness of the Global Code and aim to promote the Code's widespread adoption by market participants. Upon the publication of the Code, some market participants expressed interest in the creation of and having access to "public registers" -- repositories of information that (i) facilitate market participants making their use of the Statement of Commitment to the FX Global Code public, and their attendant recognition of, and commitment to adopting the good practices set forth in the FX Global Code; and (ii) assist interested parties in identifying market participants that have done so.

The GFXC has established a Global Index of Public Registers ("Global Index") to act as a central location that links Participating Public Registers, providing a more comprehensive view of market participants' commitment to good practices. In order to support the development of public registers, the GFXC has set out criteria for inclusion in the Global Index. The GFXC will determine which Public Registers are to be included in the Global Index based on the criteria and reserves the right to not admit any Public Register that is deemed to have not met the criteria.

Public Registers that are interested to be included into the Global Index can contact the GFXC Secretariat at email@globalfxc.org to get more information.
